Meet The Volunteer Team

PROGRAM GOALS:
To familiarize volunteers with the responsible care and management of horses, farm animals and our facility in order to promote responsibility, initiative and accountability as well as pride in accomplishment within our team.  Joining our team is a great way for students to build their resumes and skill sets or to use as Community Service Hours.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM CONTENT:
Horse Management - Diet, general maintenance & ground safety.
Teamwork - Working with staff members and boarders to provide the highest quality of horse care within a positive and friendly work environment.
Our program is based first & foremost on safety for our volunteers.  All volunteers must be 13 or older and must have prior horse or lesson experience to enter our program (special circumstances will be considered). A meeting must be scheduled before entering the program where the candidate and parent or guardian will receive a facility tour  with a senior staff member and a waiver signed by a parent must be completed. During the probation period (prior experience may affect length of probation period) no volunteer will be scheduled to work without specific adult/management supervision.
